Parent/Guardian/Supporting Family Members/Adult Supporter Corner
This page is designed for parents and guardians. The purpose is to involve them in his/her student's chemistry education experience.
I am excited to announce that I have raised funds to have a periodic table that does not have any holes in it (the one in my classroom is old and has an entire section ripped out!) and is large enough for all students to see from any seat in the room! I am currently working on replacing the desks in my classroom with tables. The tables will better suit the needs of my hands-on learning classroom. Students will be able to fit all the materials they need on the tables and since the tables are flat, items won't roll off of them. I raised enough money to get 6 tables and now I'm just waiting on chairs for them.
You may be aware that we have a bit of a budget issue at our school. The chemistry department was previously denied funding to purchase a single, large periodic table to share between two classrooms. I have taken action and will be posting projects on Donors Choose in order to create the best possible learning environment for my students. They are great students and they deserve the best!
Please be sure to sign the Donors Choose photography permission forms so I can follow through and properly thank all the donors who made this possible!
Parents/Guardians, please complete the parent input survey by clicking the button to the left. This will allow me to gain a clearer picture of your student as an individual in chemistry class.
