Math Entrance Exam
This exam provides a sample of the type of mathematics you need to be able to do to in chemistry. If you do not score well on this exam, you should consider dropping this course. The math in chemistry is all word problems. If you struggle with word problems, it is not advised that you take chemistry. Chemistry is not a required course. This course will be difficult and lots of math (all in word problem format) requiring careful attention to detail and A LOT of hard work. This course will be challenging, you will have to think for yourself and figure things out for yourself. It is not the kind of class where I tell you information, you write it down, memorize it and spit it out on a test and then forget that information after the test. All of the information you learn will be needed throughout the course. This class is optional not required. It will not be easy.

How to sign up for Remind Updates
To sign up, you may click on the button below for the directions for your period's remind. The number to text is 81010 and each period has a code. Put the code in the message space.
You may sign up for texts, emails or both texts and emails. This is a free service (the only way it would charge you is if you do not have unlimited text messaging and have to pay for each text message you receive). I will not know your phone number and you will not know mine. There is absolutely no way for either of us to know each other's numbers.
This is 100% optional (not required, you do not have to sign up) service. In the past, students have found it helpful to receive text reminders about tests, wearing shoes for laboratory, taking quizzes, and homework reminders.
